Coming Undone

My half of an art trade with the ever so amazing *Grypwolf. Her winged wolf Darkness, which is seriously one badass character. And definitely one of the most difficult ones I've ever portrayed, there's just so many details on the design. Darkness is also described to be really massive and muscular by build, and since my canines are usually somewhat skinny and lanky, it was a bit of a challenge to get it right.

You know the feeling when someone you admire wants to do a trade with you. It's tears of joy at first, but when it's about to start the drawing, you get so scared that it's going to fail miserably and procrastination follows. Yesterday I finally pulled myself together and did this. I started somewhere at midday and the piece was finished about 3 am. Korn was used as inspiration music and after a couple of songs the picture almost drew itself.

But yeah, I'm quite happy with this one. I've been wanting to draw this character for a long time, and even if his appearance and personality was a bit hard to captivate, it was worth it.
(Haha, in the process I kept telling myself "It needs more red. More red, red red red red red muhahaha!")
