Cyanide by CanisAlbus Cyanide by CanisAlbus
An attempt to draw Masque, one of my characters, in a bit more realistic way.
I usually consider my 'main style' semi-realistic. Sure the creatures in my drawings have slightly stylized features (such as ridiculously long ears and tails sometimes) and they tend to show much more facial emotion than their real life counterparts, but they're still pretty much recognizable, anatomically functional and somewhat proportionally correct, aren't they?
This one isn't truly realistic either, but more detailed at least. So I guess it's semi-realistic with a bit higher realism level?
I'm so good at confusing myself while trying to explain this.

Graphite and Gimp.

your style, dear, shows a lot of knowledge about the canine anatomy.
i would consider it semi-realistic too.

this artwork is gorgeous! i see a bit more realistic touch to it and i love it!

you are welcome! <3

yes its me. i changed accounts because i wanted to upload not only my art
but pelts and animal parts too....but not shock my watchers,
thats why i rather made a new account and begin "fresh"~
im fine! its now almost a year that im in the usa and i still miss germany
but thats okay, ill survive!
how are you?

Hmm, yes, I thought that might be the reason. I'm not a fan of taxidermy, but people posting pictures of their pelts and stuff doesn't bother me either. It's each one's decision what to upload in their gallery.
But good to hear that you've started to feel at home there! From Germany to USA... it must have been a big change.
Nothing much for me, really. Been sick for almost a week, it's those goddamn cold and rainy weathers. Even though I love winter (especially finnish winter with lots of snow and all) it's still pretty nasty to have cold all the time :'3

i agree. next year i am going to make some mounts and i like the art of taxidermy. preserving the beauty of nature! its not like i want every kind of pelt or ranched foxes or something like that. i have wild animals, which were taken for pest control. it would be a shame to throw pelts away. and skulls/bones are great for studying anatomy! i dont like the kids on here who want to have 3213513415 fox pelts and wolf pelts just to play around with them. i dont support that. i support the artistic part of taxidermy and collecting. i have a lot of respect for my pelts and bones, they are not toys or plushies. C:

yes it was a change but i was always a person who liked to see new places, travel and learn about cultures. so its not that big of a shocking change for me.

oh feel better soon! <3
having a cold is annoying :/

omg im jealous! you have winters with LOTS of snow! i love snow and this season <3 do you live in a more rural area or in the city?

very nice as always. you should post a step by step sometime. how you build your drawings, anatomywise. would be interesting to see.

Haha, well, I've been suggested to do that a few times, actually. I'm not much of a teacher myself, and there's already plenty of great tutorials on dA... But maybe one day, who knows...
