Description
An older school related piece.
Wild wolves are one of the most controversial topics in our country. It's estimated that there's only a couple of hundred wolves living in the Finnish nature and though there hasn't been a confirmed case of a wolf killing a human in hundreds of years, a significant portion of the people is absolutely terrified of them. Don't get me wrong, it's justified to be afraid of an animal that is potentially dangerous. It just feels a bit absurd to me, considering, for example, how many people die in traffic accidents every day. Humans and their creations seem to kill more humans than all the other animals combined.
Just a thought.
This was done in a last minute before hitting a deadline and under sleep deprivation. I didn't have time to even sketch it before inking. It's extremely rough and I'm not very proud of it, but I feel like this should be included to my gallery nonetheless.

The message is well depicted visually in this one. I like the symbolism of the wolfs shadow. Nice work! As a fellow Finn, I agree with this statement. Wolfs aren't even near to the animals with the highest death toll in Finland. Moose kill people annually by running in front of cars. Ticks spread lyme disease and enchepalitis, which both can be deadly.
