Location: England, Manchester
Time period: 20th century, also present day.
Occupation: Mechanic (apprentice)
Overall: The first sight gives an impression of a leggy, spindly teenager. He’s still growing and hasn’t yet obtained that natural gracefulness of a sighthound, so his motor skills aren’t always so good, making him a bit clumsy and awkward. He’s lanky and flat muscled, but generally very healthy and lively guy.
Fur: Soft and silky, yet a bit rougher than the usual saluki fur, mostly because he tends to spend a lot of time outdoors. Featherings on ears, back of the legs and tail.
Markings: Tricolor. His markings are combination of pure white (paws, ear tips, tail tip, chest and underside), orange (flanks, legs, face) and black (back, neck, head and tail) which is actually sun bleached into dark grey/taupe. Eyes are golden amber.
Clothing: In feral form the only accessories are his goggles. The frames can be either light green or dark brown/grey in color, lenses are always yellowish orange.
In anthro from his clothing is usually steampunk influenced. For everyday use he prefers everything simple, comfortable and easily washable, and more formal clothing consists various vests, white shirts and trousers. Overalls are also worn in the dirtiest jobs, and different kind of gloves for the protection.Personality:
Woody is open and friendly, generally very positive personality, but also sensible and reliable, even precocious. He’s street smart and practical in his actions, but seems to be lacking some self-confidence in certain social situations, and isn’t too keen to get attention from others.
Young Saluki also has his dreamy side. His ambition is to become a pilot someday, and when not being occupied by work, he spends time watching planes flying over the workshop, trying to get a contact with the aviators and studying flying. He’s hard working and eager to learn new things that might help him to archieve his goal.Interactions with other characters:
Woody is the best buddy of Busby, a mongrel mutt about the same age as him. These two youngsters are pretty much inseparable, and notwithstanding their differences they’re each other’s best supporters. While Busby is a mischievous little daredevil who tends to do before thinking, Woody is definitely more mature and prudent. But that doesn’t stop him from running into trouble with his hot-headed friend.
