Description

I'm not sure how many of you remember these two. Considering how dear the characters from the "warlord story" are to me, I actually draw them rather sparsely.
Anyway, on the left is Ikram, a Moroccan Sloughi warlord and on the right is Farzin, an Arabian Saluki vizier and one of her confidants.
I read that people in many parts of Middle East dye the paws of their sighthounds with reddish paste made from henna plant, for protection and aesthetic reasons. Ikram sports this look. Her heavy bronze jewellery was made using the traditional lost-wax casting method.
Farzin's adornments are made of silver, amethysts, pearls, iridescent silk and feathers. I also finally figured out how to make tiled patterns relatively easily.

Staedtler pigment liner, graphite and Gimp.
